The Artist Talk with Aleksa Jovanović is now available online on our Vagon Gallery YouTube channel! We discussed his creative journey and learned how "Aljeks" came to be. We got answers as to why painting is the foundation and how the process works! We analyzed the contemporary art scene and explored opportunities and shortcomings. Plus, we found out who his favorites are. Aleksa Jovanović, born in 1999 in Petrovac na Mlavi. He attended the Gymnasium in Petrovac na Mlavi and then enrolled in the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, majoring in painting. He is currently in the fourth year of his undergraduate studies in the class of Professor Simonida Rajčević. He received the Faculty of Fine Arts award for evening nude in 2022. He participated in the organization of the Youth Biennial in Belgrade in 2021. He has exhibited in three solo exhibitions and several group exhibitions.

The lizard says that you will lead a fearless life despite all the challenges and difficulties, no matter how many they are. Let it be red, muddy, and phallic. In front of the building, on the concrete, beside me, around me. On me. Right. They also advise you not to take any shortcuts in life because that will sooner or later be the reason for your downfall. Lizards, powerful creatures, mean that you must have faith in your abilities and skills despite all the difficulties and shortcomings. Never give up and resist all circumstances and challenges. You must also accept the situation you come across and move forward. Lost, found, lost, found, lost, found. Found? Perhaps you will always do something similar. They are truly always awake. Therefore, they are difficult to catch. Moreover, they are agile and move very quickly! They use their skills. And again, sharp vision of intuition and wisdom, the manifestation of power and strength. Some people just don't like lizards. Surely it's because they look intimidating in nature?
