Abuse of official position

The work explores the complex relationships between social classes, rethinking how historical processes have shaped and influenced the working class in a contemporary context. Through its satirical approach, the exhibition invites viewers to reflect on traditional concepts of justice and virtue, placing them in a new framework; it takes a vanished world in which work created man, an individual identified with or reduced to a profession; all that remains are monuments to past values, without further instructions for action. The very title of the work: “Abuse of Official Position”, is ambiguous, because in this case the creator exploits himself for the sake of the created in an environment in which he inevitably is subject to the social movement towards a late consumer society, becoming his own oppressor and servant to the obligations of his position, in which he becomes a product without a producer.
