Artist Talk is important in order to articulate the situations that artists in our region face. We talk about the creative process, the position of artists in today's time, more precisely on the cultural and artistic scene today, the possibilities of art as a means for social change, but also about the experience of oneself in such a position.
At the Artist Talk with Nikola Tomić, we were introduced to the position of a young artist, as well as why it is so important for artists to come together. During the interaction, we learned what the path to an idea is, and what the path from the idea to its realization is. We also touched on the topic of the difficulties he encounters, as well as his future mapping on the art scene.
Nikola Tomić is a final year student at the Academy of Arts, University of Banja Luka, majoring in Intermedia Art, and is one of the artists at the Vagon Gallery.
