The Center for Contemporary Culture KRAK is announcing a competition for the Zvono Award (Young Visual Artist Award) for 2023. Applications are open to artists from Bosnia and Herzegovina up to 35 years of age who are engaged in visual arts practices in the broadest sense of the term, i.e. artists who work in painting and graphics, sculpture, photography, video, objects in space and installations, and new media. This is the most significant professional stimulation in Bosnia and Herzegovina intended for young artists, the main content of which includes a two-month artistic residency for the winner at Residency Unlimited in New York, and a joint exhibition of the finalists at KRAK (Bihać) in the fall, and at the Manifesto (Sarajevo) and Vagon (Banja Luka) galleries in the winter of 2023/2024.

The jury that will evaluate the submitted applications will meet in May 2023 at the KRAK Center, and will consist of: Claudia Zini (art historian, Sarajevo), Mladen Banjac (art historian, Banja Luka), and Yvonne Petkus (artist, USA). The finalists, or the winner, will be announced in May 2023. The curation of this year's exhibition will be taken over by Adna Muslija (Sarajevo).
