Artist Talk – Borjana Mrđa

At the Artist Talk with Borjana Mrđa, we discussed the development of sensibility from "Changing Bodies" to the exhibition "Decorative Selves." We explored the existence of secret rules on finding one's place in the art scene. We learned about artistic currents at the Academy of Arts and the additional knowledge that young artists need to acquire beyond their undergraduate education. We delved into the projects that Borjana Mrđa is currently working on and pondered the nature of the tear imprint. Borjana Mrđa obtained her Master's degree from the Academy of Arts, University of Banja Luka, where she works as a professor of Painting and Drawing and holds the position of Vice Dean for International Relations and Cooperation. She completed her doctoral studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade. In her own artistic practice, she explores various forms of production, use, meaning, and manifestations of the body image in time and space. The conversation was led by artist Isidora Branković. This event was supported by the Public Call for Audience Development by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Republic of Srpska.
