The exhibition at the Vagon Gallery represents a visual cross-section of the collaboration between the Nihon University College of Art in Tokyo and the Vagon Gallery in Banja Luka. Through the presentation of works by artists from Japan and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the audience had the opportunity to experience the results of a long-term and carefully constructed international dialogue.
This exhibition does not just present artworks – it functions as an experimental space that explores the relationships, similarities and differences between different cultural contexts. Through innovative approaches to presentation and conceptual reflection on the exhibition format, a dynamic and open platform for communication between artists and the audience has been created.
The presented works reflect personal poetics, but also common themes that have developed over many years of collaboration. The experimental nature of the installation enabled freedom of expression and play with space, media and meanings, which further emphasized the authenticity of each individual contribution.
Thanks to the initiative of Professors Tets Ohnari and Ryuta Ilda, the collaboration did not remain just an exchange of works, but developed into a deeper process of co-creation, knowledge exchange, and mutual respect.
The exhibition testifies to how art transcends boundaries and how experimental approaches can open new paths of understanding and connection.
